Planning for holidays in the classroom can be SUCH a pain. We set such high expectations for ourselves and stress ourselves out trying to get it all done and make it magical for our kiddos. What helps me through, is having resources ready to go and easy to print & go so that my focus can be on interacting with kiddos and teaching content.. because teaching doesn’t stop just because there’s a holiday. Ugh.
I’m also the type who likes to use themed resources to match the content we’re covering. So I’ve created my own theme-pack for March! (Bonus: the bulletin design extends through Spring too🙌🏼) Let’s dive in and see how these tools can turn your planning chaos into pure classroom magic!🍀

ꕤ March Bulletin Board Kit for K-12 ꕤ
Ah, the bulletin board kit! With the March Bulletin Board Kit for K-12 Customizable Decor, all of your classroom displays are coordinated in one go. I adore how everything is designed to be downloaded, printed, and even laminated if needed. It makes setting up a festive and cohesive classroom so simple—one download, a few prints, and voilà! Everything fits perfectly into the theme.

ꕤ Craftivity Writing for K-3 ꕤ
Next up are the March Writing Prompts for K-3. This resource is a game changer—it doubles as a writing activity and a craft that pairs with the Bulletin Kit! I love that students can complete a writing prompt, add their personal artistic touch with some coloring, and then proudly display their work. It’s a brilliant way to integrate art into learning while adding a pop of St. Patrick’s Day cheer to the classroom.🖍️

ꕤ Friends of Ten St. Patrick’s Day Addition (K) ꕤ
Okay, switching gears to math for my kindergarten teachers. This Friends of Ten St. Patrick’s Day Addition with 1-10 Coloring Activity is a perfect blend of fun and fundamentals for kindergarteners. I love the idea of using the “Friends of Ten” rainbow to mix in the St. Patrick’s Day theme. This math activity allows students to complete their own friends of ten rainbow and then use it to complete the addition problems below it. 🌈
As Spring progresses, we need our little learners to practice addition and subtraction with 1-10 as much as possible. And this activity keeps it light-hearted while providing great addition practice. There are options to have students complete only 6 problems or 10, depending on how much time you have/ if you need to differentiate for your kiddos.

ꕤ Chasing Rainbows St. Patrick’s Day Number Bonds ꕤ
Building on the previous math activity, there’s also this Number Bond Addition/Subtraction printable, which covers multiple grade levels:
Each version uses vibrant, engaging graphics to help students practice addition and subtraction in a fun, St. Patrick’s-themed way by using a rainbow and two gold coins to create a Number Bond in disguise. It’s amazing to see the difference it makes when math is transformed from a mundane task into an interactive, festive activity. Kids become so engaged and excited!🍀

ꕤ 2nd Grade Writing Prompts ꕤ
Writing prompts! Yay! These are tailored for second graders, including:
- Opinion Writing Prompts
- Narrative Writing Prompts
- Informational Writing Prompts
- And a bundled set of 15 St. Patrick’s Writing Prompts combining all three!
These prompts are designed to give second graders the freedom to express themselves while sticking to the St. Patrick’s Day theme and covering content standards. Whether they’re sharing and defending an opinion, storytelling through a narrative, or explaining a concept with “informational” prompts, these spark creativity and keep kiddos engaged with a festive theme that can be used throughout the month of March.

ꕤ K-3 Writing Mini-Books! ꕤ
Finally- let’s talk mini-books. These guys were a big hit in February, so I’ve decided to extend the content this time and provide two different options. There’s:
🌷A Spring Writing Mini-Book for K-3 (March/April, SEL-focused)

.
🍀A K-3 St. Patrick’s Day Writing Mini-Book

.
These mini-books are my absolute favorite because they combine writing with a hands-on craft element that allows kiddos to feel like real authors. They get to write and illustrate their own little books, making the process of storytelling both tangible and fun. They’re a fantastic way to incorporate social-emotional learning or to encourage sequencing through creative narratives.
There are 8 format options included in the Spring Booklet and 4 formats included in the Narrative Booklet. Each book includes: Half-Page options and Full-Page options each with either Primary Lines or Standard Lines. This makes them perfect for use in Kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and also allows you to differentiate within your classroom based on different needs. Both you and your kiddos will love them!
